Diana DeGarmo is a singer, songwriter, and Broadway, film, and television actor, who found national and international fame as the first runner-up on Season 3 of American Idol. Since then, DeGarmo has gone on to release Blue Skies (RCA), her debut album, as well as several independent EPs.
An accomplished musical theater actor, Diana made her debut as Maria in the San Jose production of West Side Story. She followed this with a supporting role in Hairspray and has gone on to leading roles in productions of Brooklyn: The Musical, The Toxic Avenger, the Tony award-winning revival of Hair (where she met husband Ace Young), and 9 to 5, among others, and is currently on a national tour as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In addition to appearing on American Idol, DeGarmo has also played the role of Angelina Veneziano on the long-running CBS soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Diana has also gone on three USO tours overseas and was the first American Idol finalist to do so. |
Marilyn D’Amato is a production designer, art director and
music producer, who cut her teeth in the industry as a singer/songwriter signed to Geffen Records and Warner Chappell, While producing music, Marilyn also lent her creativity and design aesthetic to many high profile events, productions and feature films including The Grammys, HBO’s “The Sopranos,” "The Celebrity Apprentice," 20th Century Fox’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” Miramax’s “Duplex,” and Paramount’s “School of Rock.” She served as a composer and music coach on John Turturro’s “Romance and Cigarettes” and HBO’s “The Sopranos.” Marilyn loves Pop Art, pinball, olives, and is thrilled to be part of the Alto “family.” |
"Jou Passu" MUSICàNTICA
Formed in Los Angeles by Roberto Catalano and Enzo Fina, MUSICàNTICA focuses mainly on the music from Southern Italy’s oral tradition--passed from generation to generation by untrained musicians, from peasants to fishermen and street vendors--at the same time creating their own contemporary sound.
Roberto Catalano, Ph.D. was born in Catania, Sicily. He is a composer and multi-instrumentalist with over thirty years of experience, during which he has performed in the Italian south and in Rome, London, Vancouver, Seattle, San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Enzo Fina, M.F.A., was born in Salice Salentino, Italy. Based on his studies of sound and color, he has an interdisciplinary approach to music, creating his own instruments as art pieces, fusing painting, sculpture, and music. His work has taken him to Italy, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Morocco, Canada, and the United States, where he now lives. |
"Mob Hit Theme" Thom Rotella
Born in Niagara Falls, NY, guitarist Thom Rotella was raised by a musical family and knew by age 8 that a career in music was in his future. Thom has performed or recorded with a variety of well-known jazz and pop artists, including Norah Jones, Stevie Nicks, Phil Spector, Ronnie Spector, Darlene Love, David Foster, Donna Summer, Cher, The Beach Boys, Lionel Richie, Bette Midler, Luciano Pavarotti and last—but hardly least—Frank Sinatra.
He has composed music for TV shows as diverse as the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Sex and the City and China Beach, among others. He has crafted commercial jingles for television and performed for shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, and The Tracey Ullman Show, as well as on numerous movie soundtracks, most recently for Clint Eastwood’s Jersey Boys and with Norah Jones for Ted and the upcoming Ted 2. Mentored by the legendary Tommy Tedesco, Rotella established himself as a top call studio musician, one whose music and heart continues to find imaginative approaches to improvising. Thom enjoys playing live with his group, the 4-tet, specifically because “the interplay between musicians is incredible and always leads to surprises. When you play live, you get to see how that moves people emotionally.” For Rotella, there is no better feeling. |

Born Dino Paul Crocetti in 1917, this Ohio native went on to create an enduring legacy. A future member of the Rat Pack, his path was far from straightforward. At 15, he boxed his way to a hefty losing record. Of his twelve fights, he claims, "I won all but eleven." He also worked as a stock boy, roulette stickman, and croupier until he got his break with the Ernie McKay Orchestra.
James Cavanaugh was a NYC-born songwriter who co-wrote a hit for Dean Martin contemporary, Bing Crosby. Russ Stock was a big band orchestra leader and musical arranger. He was the first to record "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You." Larry Stock was an American songwriter who, at age twelve, was accepted into what later became the Juilliard School. |

Trina Hamlin. Having earned a degree in professional music from Berklee College in Boston, she graduated to the club scene in New York City with the band Blue Leaves, and has gone on to write and co-produce five albums of her own. Trina was chosen as one of the "most wanted new artists" at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and has performed to a sold out crowd at the Newport Folk Festival in the company of Ani Di Franco, Dar Williams, and The Indigo Girls. Ace Young is a Broadway performer and contemporary vocalist. Born in Boulder, CO, he began singing at seven and never really stopped, eventually moving out to California, where he was later a finalist in the fifth season of American Idol. His collaboration with Chris Daughtry on the song, "It's Not Over," earned him a Grammy nomination. He made his Broadway debut in Grease and later played the role of Danny Zuko in the national tour. Ace also performed in the Tony award-winning revival of Hair, where he met his wife, Diana DeGarmo. He is currently on a national tour appearing as the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Ace has also released a self-titled debut album and several singles. He continues songwriting and making music.

"Valhalla" Embarazada
Embarazada is the solo project of Poozy Alzate. Poozy also does a series of drawings called Kreatures and is the musical composer for the off-Broadway productions "Girl Adventure" and "Arrow In", both directed by Nina Morrison. She has also acted in both plays and performed the Embarazada composition "Trigger" a capella in Girl Adventure.
Poozy comes from a punk rock background and was a member of the underground bands Bad Hair and Bad Dream House. She toured as lead singer for the punk band Kitty Badass in the 1990s, playing such iconic venues as CBGBs, Coney Island High, and ABC No Rio. Bad Dream House has one sought-after single and Kitty Badass one full-length release and many singles. Currently Poozy writes, sings and plays bass in Brooklyn-based band Arrow, and is one half of the chillwave duo peloverde. |

Miami-born Nini Camps cut her teeth playing in clubs like The Bitter End, The Mercury Lounge and The Living Room. Three independent releases (available at cdbaby and itunes) led to national tours with artists such as Los Lonely Boys, a stint at Madison Square Garden with Joan Osborne and a stadium tour as a US ambassador during the 2006 World Cup games in Germany. Camps has won Billboard's Songwriter Award and Spin's Top 5 Singer/Songwriter for her self-released album "So Long". Signing with Cherry Lane Music Publishing took Nini from road warrior to in-house songwriter. With over 50 TV, commercial and film placements, including songs on Brothers and Sisters, Castle, Pretty Little Liars, The Hills, Army Wives, and others, Nini continues to write and record. After Cherry Lane closed its doors, Nini found a new Music Publishing family with Razor and Tie.
